 HGK Adjustable Welding Rotators
Direct answer:  The WUXI ABK HGK series is an adjustable welding-rotator range for cylindrical workpieces used in pressure-vessel, pipe, wind-tower and other heavy-fabrication applications. Confirmed reference models cover 10, 50 and 200 t rated capacities, with a surface-speed range of 100–1,000 mm/min. Final configuration remains subject to the approved order specification.
 Confirmed reference specifications
Model  Rated capacity*  Surface speed  Workpiece diameter
  HGK-10  10 t  100–1,000 mm/min  400–4,000 mm
  HGK-50  50 t  100–1,000 mm/min  400–6,000 mm
  HGK-200  200 t  100–1,000 mm/min  800–8,000 mm

*Rated capacity refers to one standard set comprising one drive unit and one idler unit under an evenly distributed concentric load. Eccentric loading, individual-unit support load, tractive capacity, extra idlers and safety margin must be defined in the signed technical specification.
When to choose an adjustable welding rotator
An HGK adjustable rotator is appropriate when a workshop handles cylindrical workpieces of different diameters and needs the roller spacing to be set for each job. The RFQ should state how often diameters change, the permitted setup time, the required adjustment method and whether a centreline-height change affects a welding manipulator or welding head.
Do not select by tonnage alone
Selection must be based on the maximum complete rotating weight, not the nominal shell weight alone. Include flanges, nozzles, internals, temporary fixtures and other attachments. The buyer and supplier should agree the support locations, centre-of-gravity condition and how the complete load is shared between the drive and idler units.
Seven inputs required for an engineering proposal
Maximum complete rotating weight.  Minimum and maximum workpiece diameter.  Workpiece length and support-point spacing.  Centre-of-gravity offset and temporary attachments.  Required surface speed, welding process and production target.  Workpiece material and preferred wheel material.  Required controls, anti-drift functions, inspection and documentation.
 What the quotation should define
Drive and idler quantity and load-rating definition.  Approved diameter range and adjustment method.  Motor, reducer, speed-control and remote-control arrangement.  Wheel material and workpiece contact requirements.  Supplier scope, buyer-supplied interfaces and utilities.  FAT method, acceptance criteria and required records.  Documentation, installation, commissioning and warranty scope.
 Recommended FAT checks
Verify the model, approved drawing and nameplate information.  Record no-load operation and the agreed load-test condition.  Verify rotation direction, speed control and emergency stop.  Check roller-spacing adjustment and the locking method.  Inspect wheel contact, workpiece stability and agreed interlocks.  Review electrical drawings, manuals and order-specific certificates.  Record deviations, corrective actions and final acceptance.
 Certification and inspection boundary
WUXI ABK operates an ISO 9001 quality management system. CE applicability, third-party inspection and the document package are equipment- and order-specific. They must be confirmed in the quotation and signed technical agreement; ISO 9001 should not be interpreted as a product certification for every rotator.
 Frequently asked questions
Does the published capacity refer to one roller stand?  No. The published rated capacity refers to one standard set comprising one drive unit and one idler unit under an evenly distributed concentric load.
Are PLC, hydraulic lifting and anti-drift included as standard?  Not automatically. These functions are project-specific unless listed in the signed order specification.
Can WUXI ABK configure a system outside these reference models?  Project-specific configurations can be reviewed after the load, diameter, centre-of-gravity, support arrangement, welding process and FAT requirements are supplied.
Request an engineering review:  Send the maximum workpiece weight, diameter range, length, centre-of-gravity information and welding process to WUXI ABK.
